  We love spending time reading at the beach or using all the canoes and kayaks to paddle around. I adore swimming in the lake (with the resident beaver). One morning we heard a loon.

  I stayed at Tamarack Lodge Cottages July 2017 and the experience was nothing short of amazing. I wanted to post a raving review. Cottage was immaculately clean, comfortable and with all amenities. The property and scenery is surreal and perfectly natural and maintaned. To anyone interested, I've offered the owners / hosts my phone number as a reference to anyone interested.

  This was our second stay at Tamarack cottages. We live in Argentina and Brazil and want to get out of Toronto when we visit my parents. We returned to Tamarack again in July because the setting is so ideal - quiet, secluded and connected to nature, with attentive hosts and well cared for infrastructure and grounds.

  One evening, Reiner prepared a festive bonfire and BBQ, where we had the chance to mingle with the other guests at the waterfront. So there is a sense of community at Tamarack!

  Time stands still at Tamarack. Tamarack cottages offer a natural setting in the forest to disconnect, with everything you need close by. The hamlet down the road, Gooderham, has claim to a good restaurant and a beer store.

  Recently came here with a friend for a bit of nature and relaxation. Our cabin was cosy, spotless, and very well equipped with kitchen utensils, barbecue and a large, new shower. There is a grassy area and small beach at the waterfront with canoes, kayaks and stand up paddle boards. Paddling on the waters connected to the inlet here was very peaceful- we were paddling to the sound of the loons. Reiner was an excellent host, and shared fresh herbs from his garden with us and checked in regularly to see what we needed during our stay. A very enjoyable time!
